ARTcertificate considers that the author of the work of art is the person most competent to establish a certificate of authenticity especially during the first sale, the gallery owner or a professional can also contribute to this surgery. However, it is necessary to respect certain criteria when editing a certificate in order to give it an optimal authentication value .
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA FOR A CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY
1) To be edited by the most competent person
the autor of the work, or a copyright holder or a recognized professional on the market of art.
2) To be unfalsifiable
make an unfalsifiable document, it has to be at least unphotocopiable and that the reproduction via a digital camera gives a very poor result. This document can also be secure against falsification by the presence of a filigree, including a hologram of security.
3) To exist in a single copy
is important to guarantee that the certificate exists in only one copy. No duplicate can not be issued. In case of loss by the purchaser, the author may provide a certificate specifying who is the initial purchaser of the work and that exists no other with the same reference.
4) To ensure the authentication of the work.

5) Certificate of authenticity must be listed.
All the certificates issued must be listed with the photo of the work in order to be able to check the validity of the certificate on the work and to contact the author if necessary.
