My name is Eric Doireau and I'm an artist (well, I think so ...)

More specifically, I am a multifaceted artist without specific artistic training, responding exclusively to the creative impulse. I explore the arts with a quiet curiosity, a clean innocence without academic or commercial influence. Waow! Before this madness, my professional life was more computer-oriented, first as an industrial automation engineer, then video game developer at Ubi Soft, technical sales engineer and finally entrepreneur in new technologies. Phew!

But back to our sheep:

The success story of Artcertificate begins in 2012 when I decided to create certificates of authenticity for my works. It's really a funny idea because no artist I know at the time does not make the slightest certificate of authenticity, besides they ask me what it can serve well ...

It confirms me that it is a good idea to stand out and value my works ...

So far nothing extraordinary, except that this good idea quickly turns into a nightmare because nothing really nice or effective on the internet and I have to spend hours gathering information. The search me out a multitude of web pages in a little all languages ​​(thankfully a few that I understand) ... The careful review of these sites reveals quickly, except their presentations more or less well done, that the content gives amounts of interesting advice, but usually in the disorder, sometimes even contradictory. When the legal value of the recommendations, it was still a great mystery for the ignorant of the laws that I was at the time ...

I wonder if it's really worth doing these famous certificates of authenticity ...

As I am persistent (or stubborn as some of my ex-friends say), I decided to embark on an adventure using word and some examples downloaded from the internet ... In fact, I sink more and more ... After a few hours, I still have a certificate of authenticity correct, but dizziness wins me when I think I have others to do ...

I think of a retreat in a monastery to think about all this ...

I remember then that I have computer skills, really a stroke of luck because I could have knowledge of plumbing ... I decided to grow this knowledge and make a program that allows me to generate certificates of authenticity, full of certificates of authenticity ... A week after work, the program works perfectly and I can finally realize my series of certificates. Phew!



As a reward, my (many) buyers are happy, my works also because they are really valued, my sales prices go up (see you then), in short I am happy ...

So happy with my certificates of authenticity that my artist friends ask me to share my 'magic program', which I immediately accept by putting it on the internet and asking for a small contribution.

Artcertificate is born ... Finally in version 1.00.



My artist friends, although sympatic, become more demanding ...
I have to improve the program which is transformed into a website ...

For 5 years I regularly improve the services and my handful of friends is transformed into several hundred artist friends (impossible to invite them all) who regularly use Artcertificate.



In 2017, the decision is made to publish a virtual and paper catalog to promote art and contemporary artists on Artcertificate. For promotion, I have thousands of emails qualified as artists and professionals in the art. I constitute a jury to validate the acceptance of the works and I invite the artists to come join the project ... Sixty artists answer present, the catalog is created in June 2018.



That same year, different gallery owners asked me to develop specific services for professionals, including the management of several artists, the management of numbered series and the security of certificates ... No sooner said than done! Re-Ouf!



Since I tell this beautiful story, all artists I meet are pleased to be able to create their certificates of authenticity with Artcertificate with such ease and speed ... 3 minutes instead of 5 years, it's funny no ?
